It's expensive to get up there. 60 euro per head. But going up is thrilling and the views have a BIG VOW factor. Not for week and faint hearted.and ensure you have some warm clothing. It's nippy up there even at this time. It was...More

We got this trip to Mont Blanc and we found out that my girlfriend was not recommended to go up to the top of Mont Blanc, once we were reaching Chamonix, because she was pregnant, but there is no recommendation or advise before contracting it. This...More

Mont Blanc is breathtaking from any viewing level, but more so the higher you ascend up the nearby mountain. A must see when in the French Alps.

We were unprepared for the magnificence of this experience. To look up at this enormous monolithic piece of granite was impressive enough but to go up in the chair lift and walk through it and be close to it was so much more. It feels...More

It is a beautiful site to look up from the Chamonix valley and see the white-capped peak. But I would say the mountain range nearby is not any more beautiful than the Sierra-Nevada mountains (Tahoe or Yosemite) or Mount Fuji in Japan.

While not the highest mountain in Switzerland, its bulk alone and crown of snow make it very impressive. We took the cable car, and it was our way to get to the top of the mountain, rather than the intrepid climbers we saw making their...More

From Chamonix, on a sunny day, you can see the top. The glaciers coming down from Mont Blanc are amazing. Best seen from the Aiguille De M or the hut nr Les Bossons overlooking the glacier end.

We drove that same route last year and enjoyed the ride. When you park in Chamonix, be sure to mark your car's location on Google maps. The streets are curvy in Chamonix. I suggest Aiguille du Midi cable car. Allow three... More

The ride alone to the top of duMidi is about 25 minutes. So up and down alone takes one hour. I'd allow 3 hours minimum to really enjoy it. There are several viewing platforms at the top, all of which have spectacular views... More
