This was a beautiful historic area which I enjoyed walking around. I wish I had stayed in this area and would if I visited again. Lots of good shops, bars and restaurants.

If you are in Lyon, you must take some time to walk around the old Lyon. You can't miss it. We were there as part of a guided tour.

Old Lyon with cobbled streets, squares, shops, churches and restaurants to meander and soak up the atmosphere. Visited with the Saturday market on the other side of the river made a very relaxing day.

Lyon has amazing heritage and it is all well preserved. Unbelievable that city has monuments/architectural pieces from over 2000 years. Wished I spent more time here. Don't forget to try Les Traboules and push all doors when you're visiting this part of Lyon
