Gorgeous views, and beautiful cathedral! One of the stops on the cityLYON bus but recommend the walk if you are able as it's all the more satisfying (just be sure to take water!)

Woth the ride. The Cathedrale and Roman ruins deserve a visit but I was a bit shocked by the lack of life on the top while there could be another montmartre village there.
We had an espresso overlooking Lyon. It was fantastic. The weather was not too hot which was great. We took the furnicular railway to the top and walked down.
We wandered up here on a Sunday to go to the Gallo Roman Museum and the Basilica. The walk up the streets and down through the garden below the basilica were pleasant. Views were great and the pace was unhurried.
The views from up there are spectacular, stretching over the different parts of the city and beyond to the Alps. A useful macquette lays out a model of the city around its two rivers and a sign points to the landmarks from the business district...More
