The perfect place for an eagle's-eye view of greater Lyon, from "Le Crayon" to the Confluence where the Rhone and the Saone meet. Walk up to get a feel for the history of the city. The cathedral is also most impressive, well worth a visit.

There are few natural opportunities like those afforded by the cliff of Fourviere. Exceptional views of Lyon and close up enough to appreciate the details of the city and its layout. Behind the basilica is a super vantage point. So much history on the hill...More

On the hill and beside the basilica, you can see all Lyon underneath. You can also see the rivers SAONE and RHONE drawing two horizontal lines and merging on the top right.. Wonderful place...

Get the overview of Lyon, literally. The church on the hill is a central part of this great French city.

We weren't honeymooners, but there were lots of them taking in this view made for selfies. Came at sunset, were rewarded by a glowing Lyon stretched before us.

If the weather is sunny take the funiculaire to go up and see a panoramic view of the city. It is beautiful even though it is awfully crowded. Walk your way down to the old town, it is a nice walk.

Same answer as above as it`s quiet steep but if it folds you can fit it on the funicular. Good luck.
