Exactly what you'd expect from the French equivalent of Punch and Judy. Theatre was full of primary school children with their teachers and they added great atmosphere. Even not understanding the dialogue it was easy to get the gist of the story. Only negative was...More

Good for young children (who speak French) - alternatively, there are plays for adults, but again, you would need to speak French. At the ticket counter, they will tell you that you don't need to speak the language for the children's shows, but wouldn't recommend.

It did help for me to have some french background to catch a few key words and relay that to my spouse. If you don't have that, ask the guy selling tickets to give you a short plot summary. The rest is pretty easy to...More

If you don't have French speaking children, I do not think this would be appropriate. It was great for our 5 kids as they grew up in Lyon.

Closed. We asked for guignol shows but found them closed. Other theaters un town are open. This place sounded fun but seems closed for long.

Tickets can be booked in advance either directly or through Fnac. Would recommend getting there 15 minutes before start of show to get good seats. Don't sit too close to stage or difficult for kids to see everything on stage. Recommend 5-9th rows. Great little...More
