About
According to the elders, three rivers cross Lyon: the Rhône,the Saône and the Beaujolais... Discover the golden stone region going through small quaint villages and visit Oingt, the nicest of all.. Then you will end up in Clochemerle, as famous for its novel than it is for its wine. Do you fancy a memorable wine tasting in the village vault or a more private one in the castle cellar ? No need to choose..both will be done !!

Sebastian was absolutely one of the highlights of our trip to France! We are a family of 7 traveling with an infant and Sebastian went above and beyond making our days together comfortable, exciting, interesting, and beyond enjoyable. His communication was excellent, talking to us the days before we met, making sure we felt comfortable and cared for and even advising on an alternate itinerary that would be best for our group (baby included). You can feel the love he has for his city and his community. He makes you feel like you want to extend your trip and maybe consider relocating to this beautiful area yourself :) We toured beautiful villages, had a wine tour, and we loved the lunch he took us to - great views and wonderful food! We couldn't squeeze in all that he had planned for us but he was so kind to offer to take us to our last stop the following morning (which was not planned). He truly cares about you, your experience and making it the best it can be! We raved about Sebastian the rest of our trip and hope to cross paths again one day. Thank you Sebastian!! Hope all is well :)

This is one of the best tours I have experienced!

What a great way to visit the Beaujolais wine region and learn sbout its history and wines. We did a half a day tour with Sebastian in a group of eight. This was a very professional tour with a personal touch. Sebastian is very knowledgeable about the region, the wine production and his family vineyard. The wine tasting itself was also great and we tried out some fantastic wines. Highly reccomended.

We went to Lyon as a group of couples, looking to do a tour around the wine region and luckily found Sebastian, who was gracious enough to pick us up from our hotel and take us around the area. The tour was fantastic, kinda the only way to explain it.

Sebastian was really friendly and spoke excellent English (which is not common around these parts), was very knowledgeable about the region, the wines and really kept the group well entertained. Loved the personal touches he included throughout the tour and absolutely loved being able to visit his family vineyard and hear about his personal story and the story of his family.

Would recommend this tour to anyone that wants to enjoy and experience the wine regions around Lyon

Sebastian did an excellent job escorting us through the beautiful Beaujolais countryside and villages. As his origins were from this area, he shared much more than what I would expected from a typical tour.

The town of Oingt was exceptional and hard to forget. Frankly the whole place was terrific. The vineyards, the Beaujolais wine process and the wines themselves was well presented. My wife congratulated me for making this tour choice at the end .

I based the selection based on the passion that Sebastian showed in his original emails describing the tours. His description lived up to his words

We did this tour as part of my hen do and I absolutely loved every minute of it. The village and vineyards were picturesque, we learnt a lot about the region and wine making process, the wine tasting was great and featured a variety of wines. The accompanying lunch full of local produce was truly delicious. Our guide, Sebastien, was great - professional, friendly and knowledgeable, spoke fluent English and shared the perfect amount of facts and stories. It was a true highlight of the weekend and I'd recommend this tour to everyone!

Sebastian picked us up at our Airbnb in Lyon and took us to Oignt and his family vineyard. He was incredible! We loved learning about the Beaujolais and the attitude towards wine here that is so different from Bordeaux and other areas. The wine was incredible and affordable. We loved lunch, and learning from Sebastian.

Sebastien was one of many people we worked with when planning our honeymoon, and he was by far the most responsive, helpful, and prompt in responding to emails. We did wine tours in Spain and Italy as well as France, and many of the emails we received from other tour guides were canned itineraries with no regard to our personal tastes or preferences. Sebastien, on the other hand, was very responsive to the dates we wanted, as well as what we wanted to see and do during our trip. He even went above and beyond and helped us plan activities and hotels for our stay in Lyon!

We spent one day with him in Beaujolais, which was probably the highlight of our entire trip - it was a very well planned itinerary, starting with 2 wine tastings in the morning, lunch at Dominique's with the most fantastic view, and a tour of the medieval village of Oignt. In my opinion, Beaujolais is one of the most underrated wine regions in France, with lovely wines at a very reasonable price. Unlike Bordeaux of some more "serious" wine regions, you never have to think too much when drinking Beaujolais, you don't need to research when the best time to drink a bottle is - NOW is always the best time. That captures our day in Beaujolais perfectly - lovely, filled with sunshine, carefree, and wonderful wines and company.

The day in Côtes du Rhône was also very nice, it was a little farther of a drive so we visited 2 wineries, one Crozes-Hermitage and one Côte-Rôtie. It was a wonderful experience to be able to meet the owner at each place, and have discussions about the winemaking process. The pours and tastings are VERY generous, the spirit of hospitality is much more vibrant in European wineries than anywhere in the US.

Sebastien arranged pickups and dropoffs at our hotel in Lyon for both days, he was an excellent driver and taught us a lot about the wine growing process, as well as the business aspect. If you do your research, his prices are also very reasonable compared to many other private tour companies. We look forward to our next trip to Lyon and would not hesitate to recommend Sebastien to any of our friends. Thank you for a wonderful trip!

This was the highlight of our trip! My wife and I have been fortunate enough to do several wine tours throughout Australia, France and the United States. This tour far exceeded our expectations and was equal to if not better than any other winery tour we have been on. We were joined by our friends, who flew in from Zurich just for the day and together we had an amazing time. The atmosphere was fantastic and Sebastien was a brilliant host. He spoke perfect English, as he spent several years living in London and gave us so much information about the region and plenty of interesting stories about his time living overseas. We felt really fortunate to be able to visit family-run vineyards and the all the wine we tasted was amazing! The food was also brilliant and you can be rest assured you will not be left hungry after lunch. Hopefully one day my wife and I will make it back to Lyon as the city and people are amazing and the day in Beaujolais was fantastic! Absolutely highly recommend! .... created a tripadvisor account just to post this review :)

We did a 1/2 day tour with Girard Sebastián - he suggested this as it was a bit “off season” for the full day tour. He was so friendly and knowledgeable! we drove through amazing little villages and he was so full of history about the region. I was sick with a cold and he even stopped at a pharmacy to help me get medication (thank you - it worked!) we ended up at his family villa and vineyard. Tasted some amazing wines. He also gave us some great tips on where to go to eat in Lyon as well - all very good! Could not recommend this tour highly enough - the highlight of our visit to Lyon.

Our visit to Lyon was a last minute thing to fill in a few days before heading home, and was such a pleasant surprise. Loved it and can’t wait to return. Not so easy from Australia, but we’ll make it happen! We decided to spend a day in the Beaujolais region and were lucky enough to meet Sebastien who tailored our tour (8 January 2018) for the season and the weather to include a visit to Oingt, his family’s vineyards, his family cave for wine tasting, and a lovely hilltop restaurant with delicious food (not included but reasonably priced - thanks Clothilde) and spectacular views. Sebastien is an excellent driver and an even better host, engaging and entertaining, knowledgeable, and passionate about this beautiful region.
