Driving from Baden Baden to Innsbruck on a Friday morning, it would have been mad not to take this road. Simply amazing views, have the camera ready. Lots of bends, and yes there are speed limits!

We were staying in the black forest and drove this road over several days. Photographs do not do the views you experience justice.

France/Germany to one side and... More

Driving this road is a highlight of the Black Forest. This is a beautiful forest, with superb mountain views. Driving is as important as hiking to get a real feel for this pristine area.

This is a beautiful place to visit either by car or hired taxi. The trees are tall firs with distinctive black color. Our visit was brief and would have liked an opportunity to spend more time.

We definitely recommend this route if you are visiting the Black Forest (Schwarzwald) in Germany . It offers breathtaking views !! You can view the real beauty of Europe along this route . We visited in August'15 . The weather was perfect & we drove along the entire route , stopped our car at several places for taking pictures .
