We absolutely loved exploring these ruins, and the views they offered were superb! Some signs/history would have been great but when it is free you cant complain! No bus goes here sadly but a taxi is only €20 or you can walk through the forest to reach it. Definetly recommend a visit!

It's a nice place to visit on a sunny day. The castle ruin is up on a hill from where you can get a nice view of the city. You can also explore the ruins a little, by wandering around or climbing up to highest tower. And it's all for free.

Don't miss this gem. Worth the small trek up from town. Make sure to go in good weather and good shoes unless you are just doing the restaurant. There are many many views and ruins to walk thru. The views of Baden Baden are not to be missed. The castle is free and could use more signage for history buffs.... More

This gem of a ruin is well worth the time to get to it. It is just lovely with many areas to explore. As soon as you think you are done there is another passageway to another large area. There are lots and lots of stairs, of course, so do plan on having good shoes. Many of the passageways are... More

Have lives in Europe for .ore than a decade and this is one of the best sets of ruins seen. Huge edifice, not just big walls with smaller fort inside. View from top from back to in 12th century would have been a world of woods.

We visited early Sunday morning...it was very enjoyable. The drive up can be a little scary as the roads are very narrow. There is parking but limited so go early! There is no entrance fee. It would be nice if there were more information signs regarding the ruins but what do you expect for free?! The views are stunning. Remember... More

nice old castle ruin. Nice view to Baden Baden and the Black Forest around. There is no entry to pay and parking space enough. I nice adventure for kids. In Winter a bit dangerous because slippery.

Me and my partner had a drive up to the castle and took a picnic with us as a last minute thing one afternoon. So glad we did, the views are spectacular! There are plenty of steps mind so do bare this in mind if you have youngsters or people unsteady on their feet with you as parts are challenging,... More
