Extremely helpful staff with a wide selection of clocks. I purchased several clocks and paid to have them shipped home to family. I purchased the clocks in March and still have not received them in May. Emails to the business go unanswered for long periods of time. Quality clocks but don’t pay them to ship the clocks for you otherwise you won’t see them.

We had to stop at this store. we wanted to get a souvenir. They had so much more than just clocks. I got my new hat here. The hat is real too. I wore it the next day in the rain and the hat held up like a champ. Go here for a new German hat and you will get your money's worth. You want a great place to get something special? This is your place.

A charming place with dozens of places to buy watches & clocks but 1000 clocks house is a very special among them, and highly recommended shop.
Besides there's a "green" path to go to triberg waterfalls... magic in the woods.
Enjoyment is promised.

Absolutely amazing shop, never seen so many clocks in one shop. Staff are friendly and helpful. We were very tempted to buy a clock here but ended up buying one somewhere else for the only reason we were looking for something unique. This shop also has a great selection of other items. Definitely could come to Triberg without going here.

I spent all afternoon in Triberg looking at the various clock shops. This is definitely the best one! Great selection and really nice customer service. I can't wait to get my cuckoo clock shipped to the uS!

This is NOT THE PLACE TO GO IF YOU WANT TO BUY A HANDMADE CUCKOO CLOCK. Almost all of their cuckoo clocks are laser cut with cheap moving plastic parts. You can simply go up the road to Kuckuckuhren (Kuckucknest) with Gerald Butler. He explains the difference between the real handmade clocks and the tourist ones. He even explains the cost difference which often at times isn't much more and you pa for what you get. Once you learn the difference and take the time to appreciate the dedication put into the clocks. I went to purchase a clock specifically from black forest area and am so happy I stumbled on Geralds store.

BUYERS BEWARE!!! We purchased our cuckoo clock from Haus der 1000 Uhern in Triburg. They informed us that they would ship it to us in Canada which is where we are based. We felt very cheated when we opened our parcel only to find that it was defective. Due to shoddy workmanship the wood that attached the bellows to the clock had fallen off along with the pins so that the outside was intact but the inside of the piece was a broken mess. After spending over $800 we are very disappointed that it did not reach us in the condition that we bought it in. I have attached pictures of how we found it when we opened the parcel. Also we live in Toronto Canada and were informed when we picked up the parcel that we had to pay CAD $128.47 additional in customs duties, which we were informed at the store would be covered in the price that we paid. I tried to call and Email the US Authorised dealer in Beavercreek Ohio but they did not pick up the +1 800-479-3254 phone number and there was no option to leave a message as their voicemail was full. I then tried emailing the US Authorised repair station in Beavercreek Ohio as per the instructions on the warranty paperwork we received but the email bounced back. I then emailed the office at 1000uhren and that email bounced back as well. I managed to contact John Bouwman Clockmaker from Clocks and Watches located on 389 John Street, Burlington, ON L7R 2K3 Canada who is the recommended dealer in Canada who said he would fix our clock for us and coordinate with Germany back in September. It is now mid November and I still have no cuckoo clock. No apology from Haus der 1000 Uhren or attempt to contact us to rectify this. John Bouwman Clockmaker from Clocks and Watches has not said when if at all our cuckoo clock would be fixed and returned to us. We have only put this post up to warn other people that this is the level of customer service they are to expect. We would appreciate it if someone could call me to follow up or give us instructions on who can help so we can either get our cuckoo clock fixed or exchanged for a new one or return it to get a full refund. My cell phone number is +1 6477817211 or you can send me a message.

Its a visual delight to be in the house of 1000 cuckoo clocks......the cuckoo clocks are said to be originally from Triberg. If you are unable to buy a cuckoo clock, there are miniature versions that you can buy as souvenirs. If you are a visitor, its easy to get to this shop. When you get off at Triberg train station, a local bus is usually stationed just outside the station to take you till this shop.
And if you at thinking twice about visiting Triberg just for this shop, then dont worry...there is a wonderful waterfall and a museum at walkable distance. The local cafes serve the original blackforest cake as well.
This place is definitely worth a visit while in Germany.

Amazing selection, reasonable prices. Anything you want. Only negative is when i asked her about what is the difference between the different brands she said nothing really. Afterwords at my hotel i did research and found out there are some differences. For example hubert herr cuckoo is the only company that makes the movement themselves. Also, the traditional dress was nice and appropriate for a little tourist town like this but the cleavage was distracting while trying to make a 400€ decision.

My daughters and I drove from Stuttgart to shop for Cuckoo clocks and to see the town, of course. This was our first stop. So many amazing clocks here. Almost overwhelming to have all the choices. So glad we came. This is a must do while in Germany.

What is the type of wood used to make your cuckoo clocks?
Does this wood come from the black forest ?
Written October 26, 2015
We were told that ours was made out of Linden tree wood, which is commonly found in Germany. The wood of pine tree and walnut trees are also used.
