This museum is centrally located in the beginning of the pedestrian street (from Bismarckplatz) and provides with a historical development of the packaging industry, mainly in the German context. It is a relatively small collection of of packages, but has definitely potential to become something more. For time being the clarifying texts are only in German and do not necessarily... More

This is a small but wonderful museum. Worth going in and meeting Mr. Hammond. The museum also is a great spot for events i.e. small weddings etc.

We planned to spend an hour at this museum as we are interested in marketing and thought this would be right up our alley. How wrong we were - we spent about 15 minutes looking at the exhibits. The museum was empty and as we walked in I got a look of surprise from the attendant. I should have taken... More

We enjoyed our visit to the museum a must go place if you're in town . Small collection but it shows a lot of history in packaging design and the evolution of packaging.

Interesting cool displays. Quite a small museum and out of the way. If nearby, worth a visit. 5 euro per adult, 3 euro for student.

This museum draws some people in because of its quirkiness. It doesn't seem to be much more than one person's personal collection of boxes and tins from the last 100 years or so. It's 2 rooms, with 2 levels each with a series of boxes and tins behind glass. Granted I couldn't understand the German labels, but there were maybe... More

This is a small, but well-cared-for museum. The displays are mostly of packages. I had hoped to see more packaging equipment. The largest downside for me was that I do not speak German. ALL of the explanations on the displays are in German -- which is understandable -- we ARE in Germany, after all. However, many museums will provide a... More

This is a relatively new museum about German packaging, mainly from the last hundred years or so. It's relatively small, but the entrance fee is low, and the museum is a fun, quirky activity for anyone who needs to duck out of the rain or has already visited the standard tourist sites. The biggest downside is that the labels are... More
