This was very interesting spot to visit. Make sure to read the little manuscript at the top of the stairs. Crazy what kids will do.

You'd be hard pressed to find another place like this anywhere else in the world. Rich students were punished by being sent here, where they could be 'punished' without interfering in their social life. The grafittied walls are interesting, although I wonder that all the...More

Unusual and interesting place harking backto the days of unruly aristocratic students when they were allowed to misbehave without ruining their careers

Fancy such a place existing in a university town. Hilarious really. Interesting that Mark Twain was "incarcerated" here, so I must read the short story he based his "visit" on! Heaps of graffiti by past internees. Perhaps a quick visit but nothing special, really.

A nice restaurante for typical german food. The food is excellent, as much as the attention. Prices are ok

With one ticket you can visit Student Prison, a gallery and 130 years old university great hall! Student prison has great graffitis on the walls, small place though.

The Student Prison is a unique spot to explore. Others in our tour group didn't even know about it's existence! It's like a gallery of decades long mischief has been captured on the walls, yet stands with pride!

A phenomenal and unexpected find that was worth the entire trip to Old Town. Oh, the stories. And the art.

This building from the 16th century is the jail for students who were not following the strict rules of the University. The fixtures and graffiti are a unique expression of the students till the 19th century.

It was very interesting to walk around the student jail. Viewing all the students names on the walls was amusing, but understanding German would have made it better. We managed to spend about 15 minutes here, as there are only about 4 rooms and a...More

Not really--It's a very old building with a rather dark staircase and 3 or 4 flights. If you mobility restricted, this would be very difficult. But there are so many other fantastic things to see and do in Heidelberg! Enjoy!
