Recently reopened after an extensive refurbishment it is a stunning hall. Would have loved to see a performance there. Printed English guide could have been a little more detailed but still good. Multi media intro had English subtitles.

Non pretentious on the outside but the interior and details are amazing. Entrance is 8 EUR and we didn’t had troubles getting tickets there on a Sunday. The last entrance on a Sunday is at 15:15 when you will get to see the iron curtains...More
I've visited twice and just love it. So gorgeous inside. I only wish they had English tours. Or at least audio guides or discount the price for English visitors. You're basically paying 8€ to just sit there with no information.
At last the theatre restoration has been completed and after several years it's once again accessible to visitors. It's an incredible sight and I would hope to experience an opera in there at some point in the future. The visits commence at 45 minute intervals...More
This is a vcomplete and fully functional 18th century opera house, lavishly decorated and opulent. Tours are only in German, but you are seated during the tour. Well worth the visit even if, like us, you don’t speak German.
