This was my first time going inside this church and I was in awe the murals on the ceiling and walls, the beautiful wooden pews, the elegant stations of the cross, and the beautiful statues.

This church is dedicated to St. Anthony of Padua and it's a pilgrim's church. Lots of Soldier's memorial plates were hanging on the wall. Some nice fresco paintings made this church a place of contemplations

This is a great example of a small village church in Bavaria. They have done a wonderful job of restoring the church and it is very accessible as it is very near the marienplatz. Recommend going during the day as you really need the sunlight...More

And one of the most moving tributes to the fallen soldiers of WW2 I have ever seen. Individual plaques for the men from the area who died. Set on the side of the hill, with paths for walking.

If you are on the Partenkirchen side you need to take the short hike up to this Franziskaner Monk run church. Beautiful ceiling painting and very well maintained grounds. Many memorial signs on the wall of fallen war dead from WW I and II.
