I've been to Garmisch many times, but this is the first visit to Partnachklamm. It is easy walking, but farther than you'd think. Amazing how it goes on and on. Dress warmly, shoes with good grips and a something waterproof.

This gorge is accessible to almost everyone, as it is almost flat; but be aware that you do have to walk for a bit. Also, waterproof and warm clothes are recommended. Shoes with a good grip are also nice to have, even though snickers should also be fine. The place is really amazing, for both kids and grown-ups. Do take... More

We visit Partnachklamm in December, and it was partially frozen. Amazing views! The route is very easy, anyone can make it since it is a flat terrain. It is really cold though, so one should wear warm clothes and shoes. The trip was really worth it.

Park at the Olympic Stadium and walk toward the back and up the hill. Turn left when the road has a stop. About a 20 minute walk to the entrance. Wear good walking shoes and ones that don't slip on ice if it is winter. This is a beautiful trail cut into the mountain. We have been many times and... More

This is not a very technical hike wich makes it perfect for families. there are some rather steep parts where the experienced hiker can get their heart rate up, while families take it easy. Gorgeous scenery with waterfalls, clear water, and a trail carved out of the gorge.

The way through the Partnachklamm gorge is drilled in the rocks so that you are in the middle of the action (and even get some water splashes). P.S.: take a torch and waterproof clothes ;)

Nice path very easy for small kids (even kids car) or old people. Nice sight seen from the mountains and river. In 1 hours you are at the top, I would repeat.

We parked our rental car at the Olympic Stadium and followed the signs from there to the gorge. It is about a twenty minute walk . From what we could see, many people took a taxi to the entrance of the park. Once inside the park you pay an admission, 4 euros/adult, 2 euros for seniors and children 16 and... More

It's a 20-min walk from the Olympic stadium parking lot to the gorge ticket center. Strollers must be left at ticket center due to narrow walkways and then another 20-min walk through the gorge. Wear waterproof gear and bring a small light, headlamp as some of the tunnels are very dark (especially on a cloudy day).

We happen to go on a quiet day so it was to find parking by the stadium & enjoy a nice stroll past the river & goats to the Gorge. We did have a toddler so luckily we decided to take the lift up to top and leave the stroller with the operator. Although it's still best to carry little... More
