This is an unique castle. I have never seen such an impressive construction, an amazing castle raising over the rocks, between beautiful mountains. The interior is exotic, looks like a fairy tale. The king Ludwig II when building the castle was inspired by Wagner's music...More

After reading several reviews we decided to arrange an all inclusive tour including coach transport to and from Munich, entry to the castles but some extras. The castle itself is simply incredible. The views from Mary's Bridge are amazing. We were lucky that all the...More

A wonderful castle to visit. Guided tours very informative and wonderful views of surrounding countryside. An experience I'm glad we had.

Visited this castle last week whilst we toured Europe in our camper van. The castle was beautiful but had scaffolding up at the front at the time which did detract from its beauty. You cannot drive all the way up to the castle but can...More

After dreaming this visit for years we drove all the way to Neuschwanstain. The castle is breathtaking, the main hall, the bedroom and the kitchen which particularly impressed me because is somehow so modern. I was pregnant at the time, we could get a secondary...More

Even though Ludwig was a reclusive and selfish man, his fantasies resulted in some beautiful castles. This is quite impressive and fun to tour. It is very well organized with audio headsets and crowd control. Be prepared for a lot of walking. I suggest sneakers...More

The tour is short, as the castle interior was only partially completed. The guide is informative, however and the portions that are completed are beautiful. Tours are let in as groups and you are given a starting time on your ticket which you present to...More

I highly recommend it as a day trip from Munich, on a guided tour so you can hear the story of Ludvig II and the existence of the castle. To get in you need to pay 13€. Wait for the number on your ticket to...More

Neuschwanstein Castle deserves to be on your bucket list. Judging by the number of fellow tourists it must be on quite a few. We were not disappointed and the experience surpassed our expectations. We booked our ticket in advance which we had to collect and...More

First tip I would have would be to book online before coming. This will save you in a couple of ways. First, I booked online to tour both of the castles and the Museum of Kings. The booking agent got back to us and saw...More

Is the small hotel at the base of Neuschwanstein Castle still there? I stayed there seven years ago but do not remember the name... We are going back to Germany in early September and starting to book our hotels.
