you can't argue with the expanse of this museum, but a lot of their installations are in dire need of an upgrade

The main museum is easily reached by transit, and is worth a couple of hours. Be aware of that it is extremely nationalistic in its presentation of technology. And while there is much stuff to be learned and appreciated, our sense was that it wasn't a particularly balanced presentation of the evolution of technology and industry of which Germany really... This is an excellent science museum with lots of live demonstrations. The only negative factor for me is that most of the demos are only in German.

Spend the day at this wonderful museum! Many different themes will offer something to enjoy for everyone, young and old. From a walk through mining history to modern genetic and nano technology, this museum offers the opportunity to look, reed, do and explore for yourself. Make sure you check the timetables of the various demonstrations throughout the museum and check... More

This is a fantastic place but no way can you see everything in one visit. Maybe 4 or 5 visits.....So many different areas to see....you are torn for choice.

My partner and I came to this museum on a rainy day in Munich and found it very dull. We were expecting something more 'hands on' and exciting however we are not very into engineering or machines. In hindsight we should have researched this more. We did enjoy the mining exhibit although would have appreciated some english guide or text... More

The Deutsches Museum is one of the most sophisticated and biggest museums I've ever seen. It even houses a real-sized old yacht inside. If you decide to visit it, you need to know that one day is not enough to see all the attractions. You'll need at least two to just walk once through the whole building. You got to... More

The museum is undergoing renovations to large sections. I feel they should inform people on their web site. We went there specifically for the engine section and they were closed

I spent 7 hours here - it's very big. And you cannot look into the detail, if you want to see the whole thing - especially since some of the exhibitions aren't that interesting. But some are really interesting though, which makes this museum worth a visit.

A very interesting museum with a lot of different exhibits to look at. My husband really enjoyed it, as he is a engineer and loves anything to do about technology.
