We viewed from Oktoberfest as it looks down over the park (at the end with the older tents and funfair). Looks impressive and quite imposing.

I only managed to see the Bavaria statue when the Oktoberfest opened on the Saturday. Very impressive monument but forms part of the grounds when Oktoberfest on and was closed to public until the opening.

This is worth going to if you are nearby, like from the Deutsches Museum Verkehrszentrum (Transportation). You can pay 3 euros and go to the top of the statue to view downtown Munich or the Octoberfest grounds. It's a nice area to walk as this...More

This complex with its impressive 'Statue of Bavaria', which overlooks the grounds of the annual 'Oktober Fest' is a must see item on your bucket list. Stairs leading up to its head are not for the Faint-hearted, however, the view from up there is awesome.

visit Theresienwiese, the location, where Ocxtoberfest takes place every year. In summertime, it´s a parking space and the Ruhmeshalle with Bavaria is a nice spot to visit

The Bavaria Statue is an amazing enough piece from the outside, but paying 3.50 to go in and climb to the top was worth it for the novelty. Note that it's not open to climb during winter months, and if you go, go early in...More

Never been inside a statue! This is a must- just be aware that it can get rather warm inside - and very cosy - as it is a very small space!

Huge area, which is reserved for Munich different festivals, particularly for October Beer Fest. You won't miss it if you come to the festival.

It is worth just to climb up the stairs. Although we went there early in the morning and could not climb up the statue unfortunately. It was also an early December morning so it seemed a bit desolate. I am sure without the construction fencing...More
