In the middle of the English garden park, this Chinese construction is the place of the most famous beer bar in the city. People gather around with great ambiance while a band plays traditional music.

Could have stayed all day. Beer great, food reasonable and very tasty. Lovely setting and just a great place to relax and enjoy Munich in its natural habitat.

What a great way to spend a nice summer evening: with 'ein mass' (1 lt beer) a pretzel and bratwurst. A well organised self-service concept.

This is a classic beergarden. It is self service, though there is a restaurant that is open limited daytime hours. You get a token with your beer, and receive your deposit back when you return the stein. The food is cafeteria style, and is fairly...More

Great place for both locals and tourists alike. The variety of quality food choices is amazing, and easy to buy whatever German food your heart desires. We were here as a lunch break on a bike tour and were happy to sit near a traditional...More

We went here twice during our trip. The first time was on a bike tour of the city and the second we rented bikes and rode here on our own. My husband loved the beer, and I enjoyed the fact that I could get wine...More

This is a perfect place to just relax in the sun or shade for a few hours on a summer's day. Very cosy and quite OK prices for food.

Beautiful place to hang out with friends. Augustiner beer in massive mugs quenched our thirst after the long trek to the beer garden!

Such a lovely place in the English Gardens. The food was super yummy as well as the beer and the atmosphere is very relaxed. Loved it!

It's an easy walk within the city. We didn't take a tour, we simply followed a map. It's a nice setting in which to enjoy the local food. I don't know if it counts as a "wonderful restaurant" as it's on such a large scale... More
