Description:

Munich City, Third Reich, Dachau, Salzburg, Nuremberg and Neuschwanstein...

Munich City, Third Reich, Dachau, Salzburg, Nuremberg and Neuschwanstein and other Ludwig II Castles. A tour with Curt Milburn is like having a welcoming family friend show you around Munich. Curt's been called "The Wikipedia of History". He specializes in small group and private tours. Tours are tailor-made and Curt finds out what YOU want to see. His City Tours go beyond canned, set routes. You'll see the famous sites, architecture, learn about kings, Hitler, foods and beer. Our Third Reich Tours delve deep into more than when, but why and how the Nazis came to power and you'll see the bombed buildings of Hitler. Curt's Dachau tours are sensitive and remarkably moving and his Neuschwanstein and Castle tours are great fun. Salzburg & Nuremberg are within your reach with Big Hat Tours! Every tour is accompanied by an Apple i-Pad with hundreds of photos to put you into history.

We came to tour and visit Munich with 35 hours to see the sites, learn, eat, and enjoy the family time together. Curt not only enabled all that to happen, but he actually made us feel like he was a part of our family for that short period of time. A great day was had by all and we will... More

Curt provided a 1:1 tour of the Third Reich highlights of Munich and it was an awesome experience. Customised, lots of personal insight and opinions and a real insight into the period. I certainly recommend you let Curt take you to some of the sights in Munich.

Our tour with Curt Milburn, owner and operator of Big Hat Tours, did an outstanding job. He was very informed and helpful. Gave us lots of information on Germany, Hitler and King Ludwick II. We had a great time.

Curt provided a private Munich city tour for our family (party of 6) between Christmas and New Years. We selected Curt based on his Tripadvisor reviews, and he came through as described. He gave an interesting and thorough tour, supplementing his verbal comments with photos and video on his iPad, and did a good job incorporating everyone in the group... More

Wife and I did a private tour of Munich with Curt from Big Hat Tours on New Year's Eve. Chose him based on Tripadvisor reviews and we weren't disappointed. Contacted him by email and his responses were prompt and informative, making the booking process easy. At the start of the tour he asked about our interests and made some suggestions... More

My husband and I love travel, museums, art and history. We decided to book our first ever "private" tour guide in order to ask all the burning questions about the Third Reich. Curt Milburn did not disappoint. In addition to his high level of knowledge of historical events, he had spent a lot of time uncovering the why's and how's... More

Went with the private tour with Curt and was so well worth it - especially right before Christmas. Visited some of the Christmas markets, third reich locations and he also spent time providing input on a day trip to Salzberg we took a few days later. Did not rush, every informative, and provided more time than was expected. If you... More

My husband and I recently spent a full morning with Curt; I had purposefully booked our walk for the first morning we had in Munich so that we could have an overview and learn some tips on how to spend the rest of our time in the city. First I should say that I found Big Hat Tours and Curt... More

Curt Milburn is at the top of his game ... a walking encyclopedia of all things Munich. My family and friends were thoroughly impressed by his Munich City and Dachau tours over two days. His use of historical pictures via iPad worked well, and complemented his rich verbal insights nicely. He also made several great recommendations for things to do... More

We had a tour with Curt on 21 Dec on a cold and somewhat foggy winters day. Curt was a walking encyclopaedia about Munich and it's history. He was responsive to what we wanted to see and what we wanted to pass. He also knew some great places to pop into in order to warm up on a cold winters... More
