Beautiful church

We visited Asam's church briefly. It is very unassuming from the outside but then the interior is gorgeous. Very close to Marienplatz and only 5 minute walk from nearest U stop.

This is the most ridiculous church I've ever seen, but it in a fun way. It's breathtaking. It's location on a regular street surrounded by shops and restaurants makes it all the more arresting. Definitely take the time to stop here if you're in Munich, it's not far from the other sights and wont take more than a few minutes.

I must tell that I'm not a biggest fan of churches, but I found this one to be one of the most beautiful churches I've been to. The church itself (once been private back in the days) is not big and it lies in between of regular houses on a street. It doesn't stick out too much from the outside... More

This church will overpower you with Rococo features crammed into every nook and cranny. Best approach is to focus on one thing at a time, and take it in.

The church is located along a street of shops. From the outside it looks much more simpler than the interior. The interior of the Church is grand and beautiful with plenty of details. However, my personal opinion is that it's nothing more than beautiful. I've been to other churches that's much more simple but it feels more peaceful and comfortable.... More

The church is in the Rococo style of architecture. Rococo is late Baroque, a transition between early Baroque and Neoclassic. The church was funded and built by two brothers. Their former home is to the left of the church as you face it.

This little church in Altstadt is so incredibly decorated/designed that you nearly go in to sensory overload! This is an active church so please remember to be respectful of others.

This was the most over the top church we saw in Munich and one that every visitor should see. The statues and architecture is amazing. The brothers that built it made it a dedication to God.

Certainly worth a visit. Never seen anything quite so over the top as the interior of this church. To say I liked it would be untrue, but admirable nevertheless.
