Very popular scenic park, more internaitonal than its name would suggest, it contains a Greek temple, Chinese pagoda and Japanese tea house.

We started the walk through the English Garden at the China Tower and walked up to the "Seehaus" and back to China Tower for lunch. Enjoy a beer or food at the many places either around the China Tower or at the "Seehaus".

The English Garden is huge and a great way to enjoy nature while in Munich. The surfing at the one end of the Garden is great fun to watch, and walking / relaxing in the other parts of the Garden allows some needed relaxation! A...More

A lovely walk through the park with plenty of benches and places to relax. You can watch surfers on the river, enjoy the beer garden, rent paddle boats, relax in the grass, and much more. Things are fairly spread out though - so be prepared...More

You can go surfing in the middle of the city or just watch for fun. Amazing to see both newcomers and more experienced having great fun together.

Our kids loved walking in the park, watching the surfers and playing on the various playgrounds around the park. We also saw people riding on horses and taking carriage rides. They have food and beer for the adults! It was raining but we loved it.

We spent an afternoon and later an evening here and its a great park. The chinese tower area, though very touristy, is also worth a visit. We will retain many fond memories of the place (and the beer)!

Its a very pretty garden, but nothing particularly makes it worth the travel in my eyes, if you have a limited amount of time in Munich. The surfing was fun to watch, I advise going for that! Otherwise, hit up the museums, or palaces, or...More

trails, canals, swimming, surfing, biking, eating. It's had to believe you are still in the center of a city. Incredible.

the Giselastrabe and or Universitatis stations are close to the garden. Again it depends where in the garden you want to visit. Probably half hour walk from your station.
