Some of the modern art from the Neue Pinakothek was moved to this museum, but this one contains all the latest stuff. Much of it is highly conceptual. Most interesting for me is the design museum on the bottom floor.

Ok: the building is better than the exhibition. Very impressive and beautifull. the collection is very limited but nice.

For Euros 29 you can buy a ticket that lets you into the big 5 museums which if you are staying here for a while is a good deal. Yesterday i visited the Neue Pinakothek which is in the musuem district. The audio guide is...More

I was really looking forward to this one and was specially blown away when entering the magnificent building. A huge concrete lobby beautifully designed welcomed me inside but once I was wandering the exhibition halls I felt a little bit underwhelmed specially considering my previous...More

Slightly underwhelmed when visiting this gallery. After paying €10 entry fee I was expecting to be blown away and spend at least 2-3 hours there, but to be honest it wasn’t as interesting as I thought. We probably spent a total of one hour there...More

Modern structure with no clear entrance makes finding the way in a bit tricky to this space. Keep walking around the building. You will find it. Go on a Sunday when it costs one Euro to enter. Sadly, the visiting exhibition costs full price. Modern...More

Currently the rooms for their pre 1945 collection is closed for rearrangement. As this was the are I was interested in seeing this was disappointing. Until I went in I was not aware of this unlike the Alte Pinakothek which had some rooms closed but...More

A stiking building where the objects are cleverly displayed. A part is the design museum and it is a good idea to combine the two.

It's modern "art". A few interesting pieces, but mostly the kind of stuff that makes people think modern art is just a joke. We had a combination ticket, and we had already gone to the other two Pinakothek museums, which were very enjoyable. We were...More

Wasn’t sure what to expect but this a really good mix of art , kitsch , science and industry - some quirky exhibits , some thought provoking - and cheap in my view at €20 pp - well worth spending a couple of hours here

Yes on the ground floor. It doubles as a cafe and restaurant. The food was very good when I was there.
