Can't miss it as is one of the main points of entry to the old town, unless of course you choose to disembark from the U-Bahn in Marienplatz. Karls Gate features also its own metro stop that has exits both in front of the gate...More

This gate opens to a busy square and public transport hub and leads to the center of town. The fountain in the square is a favourite spot for kids to run through the water sprinkling. There are shops, department stores, restaurants, cafés etc.

This is located near a major intersection and in a pedestrian way. Lots of high class stores dominate the plaza. Some street vendors with interesting and delicious offerings. Nice place to stroll.

This is the first city gate you come to when walking from the station. It is the start to the main shopping street in Munich down to the town hall.

The Karlstor is a fortified city gate. It is near the train station, on a shopping street. The area is usually bustling, and you get a feel for the type of people that enjoy a walk in Munich.

This is a great place to try to get a photo. It is a symmetrical gate that used to be the entrance to the city. There is a toy museum nearby.
