For a meal while touring the nearby attractions, this place may be hard to beat. A main course of Bavarian cuisine was, I suspect, what locals eat at home or in restaurants not frequented by tourists. A delightful punctuation in were chanterelles that were very...More

Friendly service, great location, great beer but the good was disappointing. I had veal meatballs which were tasteless and the veg was clearly from a freezer and just defrosted before being put on a plate

Great place for an Augustiner! They have lunches and dinners available, and beer from the tap! Prices are reasonable and the place was packed. You can find a half empty table yourself, or wait to be seated. They offer a variety of sausages and have...More

My wife and I had lunch at this beer hall - asparagus season. Good service and good beer (expected) but the food was mass produced and nothing special. Conveniently situated in the pedestrian zone but I am afraid that is all it can claim.

Great beer, fine food, exceptional service and awesome location. Don't miss this gem just off the main square in old town Munich. Lager, sausages and pretzels a feast for kings!!

Come here with my sister for dinner, try the crispy pork knuckle, some sausages and the beer. The pork knuckle not too crispy but still fine, the sausages delicious .

Would it be okay to take small children there at night? I'm not worried about the noise level but more whether it is frowned upon and unheard of

Kids are fine. Read other comments. We were there as a group tour, so I missed some of the internal setup of the establishment, but it was very busy and popular.
Is it open on Sunday?
