Tiergarten Nuremberg is set in an extraordinary and unique landscape. By taking a walk through the large, densely wooded park the visitors discover open-air enclosures skilfully fitted into the red sandstone of the region. Watch dolphins and sea lions swim and play in the open air at the Dolphin Lagoon. Explore life at the Amazon, complete with rainfall periods, at the Manatee House. Go to the Blue Saloon with its vast panorama windows and experience the fascinating underwater world of both manatees and dolphins. Children will love the Kinderzoo, where they can pet animals and discover a lot more...

That the zoo in Nuremberg is a beautiful place many other visitors will probably point out. They are perfectly right. It's a wonderful area for kids with wild animals, Delfin shows, but also nice play grounds, and many other attractions. But please be aware - after 11 am it's a bit like a warm sunny Sunday on the New York... More

Spent a Sunday afternoon here. Very easy to get to from Nuremburg centre, a direct tram running numerous times an hour. Entrance cost is reasonable, about 25 euros for two adults. The zoo itself is well kept, clean, the animals are in nice enclosures and look well kept. It is a bit of a walk especially with hills, but easily... More

The animals seem happy and playful here. The tigers played with each other in the water. The polar bear was swimming about his pool. The Meerkats ran. As a parent, it was incredibly nice that the food was reasonably priced.

Wow, the zoo is set in gorgeous woodland and so natural without the high fences and caged feeling of usual zoos. We had a lovely walk around through the well laid out paths (some of which are quite steep). As it was winter many of the animals were kept inside but this wasn't a problem as you can see them... The Nuremberg Zoo was build into the Forest Area with little hills. The Cages are mostly crafted into the stones there. They have a great variety on animals. I love to go there just to take pictures. You can see the Animals mostly without fence but other ways to keep them in so you can take great pictures

Easy access from the main train station and nice to get out of the main city centre to see more of the area. We went in February on a friday so it was really quiet so was perfect as we almost feel like we had the zoo to ourselves. Large zoo, lots of walking to do and some brilliant displays... More

One of the favorite places to go out in summer with kids and friends. Nuremberg is not a big city, but has interesting attractions all over.

Visited the zoo on December 24 and practically had the zoo to ourselves. We went into the lion den and watched the lions eat - up close and personal! We thought it was a really good zoo.

During our trip to Nuremberg we decided to spend the afternoon in the zoo. Due to the time of year and the chilly conditions there was very few other people in the zoo we felt like it was our private tour. The zoo is home to a wide variety of animals from dolphins to camels, snow leopards and polar bears... More

We visited Nuremberg Zoo in December. The zoo itself it's an amazing place with many animals, but visiting it in the winter doesn't get you the chance to see it's beauty. It's true that the zoo it's not crowded (you will barely see a few people), but also you don't get the chance to see all the animals or you... More
