Tiergarten Nuremberg is set in an extraordinary and unique landscape. By taking a walk through the large, densely wooded park the visitors discover open-air enclosures skilfully fitted into the red sandstone of the region. Watch dolphins and sea lions swim and play in the open air at the Dolphin Lagoon. Explore life at the Amazon, complete with rainfall periods, at the Manatee House. Go to the Blue Saloon with its vast panorama windows and experience the fascinating underwater world of both manatees and dolphins. Children will love the Kinderzoo, where they can pet animals and discover a lot more...

During our trip to Nuremberg we decided to spend the afternoon in the zoo. Due to the time of year and the chilly conditions there was very few other people in the zoo we felt like it was our private tour. The zoo is home to a wide variety of animals from dolphins to camels, snow leopards and polar bears... More

We visited Nuremberg Zoo in December. The zoo itself it's an amazing place with many animals, but visiting it in the winter doesn't get you the chance to see it's beauty. It's true that the zoo it's not crowded (you will barely see a few people), but also you don't get the chance to see all the animals or you... More

You'll be spoilt here! Lots of animals to see along with activities and pleasant walks. Probably a dry day activity. There is a lovely restaurant onsite.

Visited with our 3 year old. This was a wonderful zoo with lots of animals being quite active (given it was nearly freezing!) and beautiful surroundings in a forest. Highly enjoyable. Easy parking. The Bavarian restaurant served good sausages for lunch, but I would skip dessert - the apple strudel was average.

Probably the best zoo I've seen. The animals all seem to be very active compared to the zoos I've recently visited. I also got to see a tiger let out a big roar a few times which was unique. Not sure if it regularly does this. The zoo is in the woodland and has lots of sandstone rocks and backdrops... More

I can guarantee the place for good study of animal kingdom. Because there are so variety species. And then they organised in the zone and easy to explore entire park.

Perhaps the zoo does not want the animals to catch a cold, most of them are not at home. There is simply not much to see here in winter! While the walk is nice, it certainly does not worth EUR13.5 to visit.

In Tiergarten Nuremberg nearly all animals are outside in wintertime. Here you can see giraffes in snow, if there is snow in Nuremberg... Our enclosures are very wide-ranging. Therefore it is sometimes difficult to find the animals. More

One of the most beautiful zoos I've ever seen and I say this not necessarily because of the number of animals but because of the way it is arranged.A walk in this zoo it's like a walk in nature as long as it's placed in some old woods. So,you walk the alleys beneath old trees and from place to place you... Well what can I say ... I was so happy after visiting this place. I have only been to a zoo in Sri Lanka and compared to that one this was like a different world not only for the people who are visiting but also for the animals. The space that they have allocated for each animal was amazing, its... More

Visited here on a rainy September day. We loved it .. they have a petting zoo with pigmy goats, a very cute red panda family. We stayed at the dolphins feeding. We really liked the weird piggies, the animals had space, they seemed happy and we really had a good impression.
