This is a real gem. It is very easy to get to and you can literally spend a day here. There are plenty of lockers for stowing away coats and excess items. You are in for a treat! There is something for everyone's taste. Prehistoric...More

Very nice museum in the heart of Nuremberg. This was a nice place to visit and spend a day of cultural enrichment. It is a very large museum, guides are available in English.

First of all, bring comfy shoes, you will walk a lot. The museum is huge and has many exhibitions. It took me two or three hours and I didn't see everything there. Tools used in different ages are very interesting. Paintings and wall decorations also.

Just kidding. The museum is so big that it is impossible to read and to see everything in just one day. However, it's amazing how many things (from clothes to swords and furniture) you can see and not get bored, because everything is so interesing.

If you come at Wed 6 pm, the admission is free, but with a catch - you still have to pay for special exhibitions, such as the Charles IV exhibition.

The artefacts and collection themselves are good and span a huge selections of time periods however the layout of the museum leaves a little to be desired. There are lots of long dark corridors that would have you believe you are either somewhere you shouldn't...More

Exhaustive museum. Allow a minimum of half a day to visit. If you have a particular interest, I suggest you find and start there, otherwise you may be just too physically and mentally exhausted once you get to your favorite area. So many interesting areas....More

It is about 10 minutes from Augustinerstrasse. You have to go in direction Hauptbahnhof (main railway station) and on the way you will find a guidepost to the museum.
