Food Market

Lots of stalls in the church square, not really a tourist attraction but a good place to buy some quality fruit and vegetables.

Impossible to miss this market. It's in the way to the castle. People are very nice. They let you taste every kind of fruit and you don't need to ask. And you'll end up taking something 'cause the smell and tastes will make you crazy.

All the local fresh produce can be found here right in the centre of the town. Recommended for your local fruit and veg and sausages!

Every day market with fresh food. To hit it of, go for the Christkindlmarket in December. Visited it three times now and it's always amazing.

We were in Nuremberg for a short visit, so about lunch time we had some spare time, so we decided to visit the market in the town square and glad that we did, the stall selection was very good as were their respective produce. We visit Germany quite a lot, in fact we are away again in 2 weeks (1st... More

I was traveling with a group of eight people and we each took turns buying various German foods and treats and sharing them, as well as finding fantastic gifts for friends and family. The attractions and buildings immediately on the market (e.g. the Frauenkirche, and fountain), and those nearby (e.g. the Kaiserburg-castle) make this a great place to visit.

This is a great little market with a good variety of fruits and vegetables. Howeve, the prices were extremely high so we did not buy anything.

The available produce and lebkuchen (ginger bread) is wonderfully diverse. This early in the year it was not very crowded. In the winter, this becomes the site of the famous Christmas market, so it can go from quiet to very crowded. If you come by at noon, you can watch the Frauenkirche's clockwork, but note that it will be crowded... More

The Hauptmark is another great German open market with many vendors. The prices here are pretty inflated, but you go for the experience. The cathedral is impressive and there are many shops and restaurants nearby.

Many vendors, lots of variety, nice atmosphere, but waaay too pricey for my tastes. Most fruit was 10-15 Euros a kilo. I can't imagine many locals paying these prices when there are supermarkets close by with much better prices. You can get a 'Drei im Weckla', or Nuremburg sausages on a bun. Maybe some people would like it more. I... More
