One of the most beautiful churches in Nuremberg and I think the biggest. Two high bell towers,a huge rose window above the main entrance, nice decorated facade, with a lot of statues of different sizes. The interior is majestic and austere.

It was around 11AM when I stopped by this church and stayed there for about 45 minutes just enjoying the impressive architecture whilst organ music was playing. What an atmosphere!! Definitely recommend it.

They collect 2 Euros for donations, this church is magnificent, so large inside, you can feel the Holy Spirit almost! Beautiful architecture, lovely place, highly recommend to see in the middle of the town center!

St.Lawrence ( Lorenz for Germans ) church is the archetypal European cathedral set in the medieval part of Nuremberg. Access is easy and its 3 minute walk from the Central station. Went here recently and earlier during the Christmas market last December. Strongly recommend to visit this place during Christmas. Its agog with activity , small stalls selling local handicraft,... Built in 1215 and damaged during the 19th and 20th Century, this is a beautiful living museum. The works of art are phenomenal and the painted wooden sculptures incredible. The whole experience is humbling and moving too. Give yourself a couple of hours to immerse in it. The highlight of my trip to Nuremberg.

Another impressive church. Hidden in a side street, you might not stumble upon it. Beautiful architecture. Lots to see inside. Look out for the details.

St. Lawrence Church suffered as much damage from its priests in the 19th century as from WWII. They abused its art by selling it off, often for just the scrap metal value, to pay off the debts they had run up. It was so bad that the City took over the church and began a long process of restoration of... More

The structure is 750 yrs old and upon destruction,of 3/4 of it during WWII, the structure has been rebuilt to its original structure! The architecture, works of art, and furnishings give expression to Christian faith that relates to the joy of human life!

We were visiting for an event and failed to do previous research. We walked by this building (didn't venture inside due to time restraints) and it was absolutely stunning.

It is a big church. Unbelievable and beautiful. If you want to just see and walk around, it can be seen fast, less than half an hour. Because it's quite empty.
