A change from the high baroque churches!

The interior of this church was refreshing, after the mainly baroque churches on Passau. The altar area was very modern and clean. It's simplicity was beautiful.

Unlike many other baroque churches this is simple in decorations and style. A Contrast with the cathedral. Quiet place for a prayer.

We were brought to the cloister church by an experienced guide...I would not have found it without them. There is a plaque on the exterior which identifies the Hungarian ties to the relics inside. The church is simple but has a disorganized cluttered feel. There are odd steps and twists and turns that eventually brings the visitor to monstrances displaying... More

a must see if this is your scene - read it up beforehand to get a better understanding of its use. Easy to reach on public transport.

Guess lots of tourists miss this gem, as it is not at the beaten paths. We stumbled at this beauty after visiting the point where the rivers meet, and were searching our way out again to the 'promenade'. In the portal there is (beyond glass) a huge Xmas crib. It is said that Holy Agnes is supposed to be buried... More
