This huge stone cathedral is visible from a distance as you walk along maximilianstrasse. The cavernous interior is not as ostentious as many other European cathedrals yet still impressive.

This is a place of worship not a museum. People can take photos but I only saw one person doing this most people were praying. In side is very peaceful and very cool even though outside was very warn in the sunshine. There are many...More

The Dom is an Augsburg landmark. It though is distinctly German and therefore very different to the churches you will find in other areas of the world. Well worth the time to drop in. Entry is free.

Beautiful cathedral mostly from the inside. There is also a nice museum there. Free entrance to the cathedral itself and 4 € to the museum.

The previous reviewer said that photos were banned but I think that is only during services. Better outside than in.

Germany is not lacking in beautiful churches both inside and outside. I was respectful and did not take photos of the interior as is requested on the board when you enter. All the beauty remains in my mind.
