Very interesting social housing complex. Besides, it exibits the bunker used by the inhabitants during the WW II. The exibition is worth visiting, just to see the german side of the story.

A must see on a visit to Augsburg. The history of the housing is worthwhile. The gardens in summer are beautiful. Visiting the Fuggerei used to be free but now there is a small fee.

This is a really interesting part of the city's history. First built to host homeless people (and people still live here for something like 1euro per month or year). Make sure you also visit the underground refuge from WWII within the premises. Spring and summer...More

This is an eye opening attraction. The Fuggeri is a social housing complex, funded entirely by a foundation. It has also been going for about 500 years! It is amazing to see the housing and its history.

Amazing place to understand how the state treats the people that have less than other. It was the first social apartments of their kind in a world and yet they serve a few families. Very quiet neighborhood, very kind people.

Quaint and quiet stroll back into old town Augsburg. Just off the Rathaus platz, it's worth the effort, time and donation. Don't miss the bunker from WWII.

We all enjoyed looking around the village signage in English which was helpful Great to see what the old houses looked like and the new Air raid shelter was very interesting Small cafe for drinks on a hot day was very welcome

There is a lot of history behind this settlement. It shows what rich people can do for these who are not as happy as they are. The grand father of W.A. Mozart used to live here. pore

Great place to wander around and learn a bit about the social history of Germany. This complex is the oldest example of a housing project in the area. It was built by the Fugger family of banking fame for the purpose of making sure people...More
