Such a beautiful stop. Check hours before arriving. Great views. Great town with shops and cafes. Great time to walk around and soak in the local atmosphere.

This is a great old church within site of the alps in a great small little town. The amount of detail and design are amazing. It is a surprising place to find such a nice church.

A beautiful church packed full of ornamentation and decor. No entry fee but there are collection boxes and candles to buy if you wish to contribute.

Not large but big in beauty. We found this on our Rick Steves city walk. It was built for the patron st of Fussen. His relics are there in a clear cross in the front of the church which includes his walking stick. Of local interest it is the home church of Franz Sulos who later lived in Pittsburgh he... More

A young man who lived here became a priest and went to New Orleans to do mission work. That is so interesting. There's a side altar,to the left of the main altar, dedicated just for him. Also, I met a charming man who looked very much like Santa Claus. He was so excited when he learned we came to Fussen... More

The Chuch is located on the old town, where most of the few attractions in Fussen are. Pretty much you won't lose it, as there are not much around to be seen and the downtown is mandatory. It is big and interior is full of details and rich artifacts. A few minutes are enough to visit it. Hohes Schloss and... More

We had been at The castles most of the day then the weather turned nasty so we thought we would spend a few quiet moments looking around the basilica. It is very ornate and quite breath taking. Very little about the church is in English but sitting in quiet contemplation is all that is needed.

This court yard and church was really nice. The cemetery was really unique. I like looking at old cemeteries. The little church is impressive on the inside. You need to take lots of pics.

What a fine Dom in a land filled with Doms. Uncrowded, ancient and an organ recital to boot. Quality religious art and sculpture if that's your thing. A serene place to contemplate a break from all the surrounding medieval mastery. And a breathing space before you make the climb to the high Schloss.
