The city is one of the old walled ones on the romantic route. The walk is easy and can be attempted by most people with some level of fitness. Beautiful views from the wall. Well worth the walk.

Walked the 2.7k walk on the wall looking in at the town and out over the country and town. A must do for a town over 600 years old built in a 15 million year old meteor crater. Walk through the town following tourist maps...More

This is the one tower one is able to access to the top. A small museum is contained inside with panoramas of the historic siege of the city in the 1600's, an old brass spire, helmets, and more.

There is a museum, but we did not stop to take it in...however, it is a beautiful part of the city wall and very picturesque.

This town is lovely--it's nice that the wall is completely in tact so you are able to walk all the way around it and enjoy the views. I highly recommend!

There are a number of towers and bastions on the intact walls of Nordlingen. It is lovely to walk the length of the walls always admiring the church of St Georg right in the centre. There is a cafe with a little terrace and a...More

Rally enjoyed a leisurely walk around the entire wall of the city, from the covered walkway on top of the wall. Picturesque and provided a great historical perspective of what it would be like in the medieval times with in the city.

As many of the major attractions of Nordlingen were closed between Christmas day and new year's day, we walked the wall. The museum at the gate was also closed when we visited. We took a leisurely hour to walk the wall. Took many photos. Interesting...More
