You will find the beginnings of the castle in the ground floor. Between 1680 until 1682 they built a hall with five arcades. This hall served as a protection place behind the hunting. Later followed an extension of two window axes and the representative second floor upstairs which was limited by four small corner towers. In 1753 the famous Balthasar... More

It was long ago on a fine day that I went on a boat trip for a tour to Veitshöchheim along the Main River or should I say the river Main? It was a pleasure to walk around the gardens that at the time even incorporated a ha-ha. Maybe it's still there. I guess the idea is that you fall... More

Beautiful castle with one of the best looking garden in the vicinity. I have been here with my family and children( my nephews & niece). We spent time in the garden walking around and children loved playing in the garden.Beautiful place to relax and unwind with your family.

This palace has one of the best gardens I have been too. The views from the gardens are worth the walking around.

The history here is wonderful and the town is quaint if you're in Wuerzburg for an extended visit. It's near the river with plenty of food options and history and of course wine!

perfect to visit on Sunday afternoon especially in summer. Statues, fountains as well as garden corridors. Just sit down in the sunshine and have a talk with several friends! Palace itself also deserve to have a glance.

We took the ferry downstream from Wurzburg to Veitshocheim and had an enjoyable afternoon in the town and of course visiting the Schloss. Extensive gardens really help to make this palace a photographers dream. The day we were there the palace itself was closed but the gardens alone made the visit worthwhile.
