Went with my teenage son to see Cabaret during our holiday to Berlin. Everything was standout spectacular- the cast, the serving staff - even the orchestra was beautiful!! We had a great table - 116 - and my son was in the direct eye line which made for a very immersive experience. Table service is provided all evening and drinks were very reasonable. It was a very hot evening so i’m glad we decided against the dine in option ! The play was in German with an english synopsis provided on each table. It was incredibly moving and a real highlight of our time in Berlin! We also enjoyed pre theatre drinks at the bar behind the theatre down by the river.

Cabaret at the Tipi

I went to see the show with an English friend of mine. We got a table right next to the stage, one of the best tables available. During the first half, I was translating to him what was told, as it was in German. I do not think we were being very loud at all. And matter of fact, we were enjoying ourselves - having some Champagne.

During intermission, the table behind us came up to me and told me to please be quiet. Then the manager came and told me to be quiet as well, apparently the band was disturbed by my talking. After that I shut up and my friend didn’t get most of the conversations. So maybe it’s just for a German audience.

I am fairly confident we were not overly loud. And considering that this show is about acceptance, enjoyment, decadence I found the German intolerance jarring. And I am German.

Saying this, the performers were amazing, the production is great, the band and music are as engaging and intriguing as one would want. Loved MC. The setting in the Tipi could be extraordinary. Except for the intolerance of the audience. Sorry.

I sat in the cheap seats at the back (20 Euros) and had a fantastic view. The show is brilliant, and the actors inteact with the audience which is manly seated at cabaret style tables. Some people had a meal before the performance or during the interval. Seeing the show in German seemed so appropriate, and it drew together many of my experiences from a week in Berlin (my learning about history and culture etc) for my final night. I'd highly recommend this evening out. I went on Sunday, which had an earlier start. If you are not a native speaker make sure you know the story before you go as most of the show is in German, but I followed it all easily. If you have the time and the interest check out the Isherwood Walking Tour in Berlin, as this really sets the show and so much more in context.

Fantastic and wonderful performance of Caberet from the cast and the orchestra . It felt like they put hearts and souls into this rare Berlin performance which was funny ,exhilarating and moving throughout.I felt that it was exceptionally special to see this performance in Berlin after all these years and this definitely came across from the cast and orchestra. The sets were terrific and it really felt that you were sat in the famous Kit Kat Klub and the performances interacted strongly between the stage and the rest of the theatre drawing the audience in even more.It was mainly all in German which adjusted added to the authenticity but made it a little difficult to understand at times from some of our non German speaking members of our group albeit they followed the overall gist if the story. We would definitely recomend this magnificent show !

I came from the UK specifically to see the production of "Cabaret". I booked and paid for the tickets in the UK and they arrived within minutes as e-tickets. The pre-show set meal was hot, very tasty with a delicious dessert served during the interval, and was good value considering the price ( €28.00 ). The very efficient staff also served drinks at our table before the start and during the interval and the bill was paid at the end.

The production ( which was in German ) was absolutely outstanding and deserved the numerous curtain calls at the end. The show seats at a four seat table were in the top price bracket of €59.50 and were excellent value, especially considering the cost of theatre seats in London.

I understand that "Cabaret" is presented each year at the Tipi and if it is there in 2020 I shall be coming back.

TIPI is a series of connected circus tents which host varied shows. You should check their website for whatever is on when you are in the city.
You can get food at tables before the show but we didn't and were able to turn up on the night to buy tickets on the door.
The food looked good and reasonably priced.
The beer and wine was also reasonably priced with a large beer and a large wine being around the €9 range.
We took in Briefs which was a cross between a drag show to acrobatics to slapstick comedy.
The show is in English with some German language introduction although that doesn't matter as it is very visual.
My partner and I had a great laugh at it and were mesmerised by some of the acrobatics on show.
If you go with the right attitude then you will love it and it will round off a great night.

What a fabulous venue! Booked before my trip to Berlin to see Cabaret and wasn't disappointed. The venue caters for both food and drink, reasonably priced. The show itself, Cabaret, was amazing! Thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Fabulous cast with excellent singing and dancing.

We had originally only intended to watch the '70s musical, Cabaret, being performed live in this amazing tent - and it was a competent performance with a good albeit small live band. But we decided to take a meal beforehand and the food and service were splendid. A great evening overall in a delightful setting in the Tiergarten area.

We went to see the musical Cabaret here and it was out of this world. We had booked dinner and the theatre and we weren't quite sure what to expect but it was a fantastic venue, reminiscent of a 30s cabaret. The standard of performance was outstanding and the fact it was mostly in German simply added to the whole atmosphere. We don't speak a word of German but still loved it all. It was the highlight of our trip to Berlin.
