This very large park runs alongside the route of part of the Wall. Now a very popular green space for sports and other activities.

Mauerpark is named after the Berlin Wall which once ran through the area diving east and west. The park has a interesting origin story with locals planting trees and vegetation in the sandy dead mans land. The park oozes community with a big Flea market...More

The park gets its name from the Berliner Mauer or the Berlin Wall which stood here during the cold war. A part of the wall is still left standing in the park as a memorial and is now covered in graffiti. The park was part...More

Mauerpark is the perfect place to spend a few hours on a sunny Sunday afternoon. It's become more popular and touristy in recent years but it still feels like you're having a real Berlin experience here. The place itself is not so much a park...More

We were told that Mauerpark is one of the most happening places in Berlin and hence we ended up going there. The park however on weekdays evening is quite empty, with nothing much happening. We wandered around the park for some time watching some locals...More

I seriously LOVE this place. It was like watching the city of Berlin wake up for the summer, it was AMAZING. It looks like a place where you should buy tickets to, but it's just a relaxing Sunday chill. First we walked to the back...More

At the beginning the flea market can be nice: it is really flea-ous: smelly, dirty, chaotic, made only for 'alternative' tourists. But just a few meters away, under the ruins of the Mauer, there is the arena where the company of Joe's international karaoke lovers...More

No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change
than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists

crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were
once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall,
there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have
been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays,

At aroubd 5pm, there won't be many boothes till opened from the flee market. The karaoke might start around that time, or even around 4pm. 7pm is definitively late, but there is still often party going on till night.
