We visited this venue to watch 2 pieces by 1927 ( A british theatre group) who had directed and created the most incredible visuals for one operatic piece and one concert piece - this has changed my view of opera completely. the rather austere exterior...More

Not many cities support 3 full time opera houses - no doubt that the Komische Oper is the premier house at present under the direction of the brilliant Barry Kolsky. We saw a great performance of Peter Pan (from Cardiff!). A lovely late 19c interior,...More

This was our second time visiting Komische Oper and our second time being blown away. We saw an opera both times (Magic Flute and Barber of Seville) and both were great. The singing is fantastic and the modern take on classics keeps you thoroughly entertained...More

We try to catch a show here whenever we are in Berlin. They always manage to produce something exrtaordinary and new, as with Dvorak this October season. A total entertainment.

We were really impressed with the top notch production of the operetta in May. The actors were fantastic and the set design was great. It's a beautiful space and we hope to return again.

I have seen four performances, and have always been very satisfied. Perhaps the best of all was Offenbach's Les Contes d’Hoffman, but also Mozart's Zauberflöte was extremely good and unique as a performance. It seems that the interpretations are often refreshing, even experimental, which for...More

oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence
of some significant transformations, as well. The

Their online site is great and very easy to use. Buy the ticket and choose the option to pick up at the box office. Everyone who works there is quite nice and their English is good.
