The church no longer serves as a church but rather as a museum. As we couldn't care less about the museum itself, we admired the church for what it was - a beautiful structure.

These gothic churches are best viewed at night because it increases the strange and mysterious feeling of gothic architecture. That's why I chose to see it after sunset, but I was wrong because it lies in the dark and even with my pretty good camera...More

This Lutheran church was badly damaged during the war and subsequently decommissioned. More recently it became a historical site, a combination art gallery and museum. A special exhibition on Luther, "Verehrt, verklaert, verkehrt," arranged in connection with the 500th anniversary of the 95 theses that...More

Amazing building, hidden in a small square. We arrived too late to go in, but entry is possible. Area around church is frozen in the past.

The two spears caught my attention and we walked inside for a look. I found a guy who told me about the history of the church.

This is now a museum so we chose not to pay the entry. You can see most of it when you enter without paying the fee. The St Nicholas Quarter is delightful.

Thanks for the review. For a 5€ fee you'll get an audio guide in 6 different languages. You can also discover the history of the building and the city of Berlin inside the exhibition.

Went to the Church as part of our 3 day museum pass (really recommend this pass!). Plenty of information in English if you get the headphones provided for free- perhaps too much to the point of it being overwhelming. Bear in mind that the majority...More

The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights
like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum

oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence
of some significant transformations, as well. The
gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets
between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given
