Heard good reviews so we went to visit Classic Remise but was slightly disappointed, I imagined it was a classic car museum but it wasn't, it's basically a building with workshops in where they restore classic cars and sell them there.

Half the cars are in glass containers which you can't properly view and the others are outside which you can walk around and look at.

Yes it's free to go inside, yes there are some nice examples of cars that you don't see however It's a little out the way and if you've got an hour to kill then no harm in popping along to see them, it's open until 8pm.

The smell hits you first, the oil, rubber, petrol, diesel all mixed like a lovely warm welcoming blanket. Off in the distance, because this is also a working repair shop, you’ll probably hear a V8 or V12 burble or rumble into life. Then there’s the sheer variety of cars to see so close you can enjoy every tiny detail.

It’s such a wonderful idea, such a great collection, everything from humdrum 70s hatchbacks to multi million euro modern super cars to priceless F1 cars, all in the same place.

For me most enjoyable part is looking at the repair shops, where mechanics ( neé artisans) labour over, repair and restore these wonderful cars in a way only a cool German mechanic can (seeing a dude smoke a fag while he repairs the door lock on a Ferrari 512bb is pretty damned cool …. and German)

So I’d say, if you love cars, or just good design, come on a weekday morning, see, feel, hear, smell and take in this place. I wholeheartedly recommend it! And it’s ……. Somehow …… free!

I was expecting to hate this as I was dragged along by my car-obsessed fiance, but I actually had a lovely time. He on the other hand lit up like a Christmas tree, so if you're a classic car fan, I think this is a great place to go.

The showroom is huge, there's a great array of cars, it is light and airy but has plenty of seating so you can go about at your own pace. We also had lunch in the onsite restaurant which was delicious.

My son loves cars and this place had the most amazing collection of cars assembled in one place that he had ever seen. There are rare classic cars and rare modern super cars. We saw 3 Lamborghini Diablos and many Ferarris. A truly diverse and extensive set of cars.

We took the S-Bahn to BuesselsStraße station and then walked. It is kind of off of the beaten path. We were a little apprehensive that we were lost, but there it was. It is very unassuming.

We enjoyed walking around and gawking at the expensive cars. There are a few mechanic shops at work and some restoration businesses. Even outside the building, there are some amazing cars just parked out in the weather.

If you know your classic and super cars, you will love this place. Even if you don't, it is an interesting adventure in the heart of Berlin.

Other reviews say how it is a petrol head heaven, and they're right. You'll spend hours walking around taking pictures of so many different cars, seeing them up close and personal. It is absolutely wonderful.

However... Some cars (indeed some of the most interesting ones) are somewhat hidden from view because of the glass boxes. There is no information whatsoever for the vast majority of models which feels like a waste of a good oportunity. For example, there are two Formula 1 cars on the second floor, but you can only see them from very far away, and bar a "S. Vettel" inscription in one of them, there's absolutely no info about them.

I know it is not a museum, but when so many people visit it as though it were one, maybe it wouldn't hurt to make it a little more friendly to visitors. The total highlight was talking to two people who worked there and loved cars.

Food from the restaurant outside was wonderful, and the service was so very nice.

Not even the Ferrari Testarossa excited me as much as seeing the Century with my own eyes. I first saw the Toyota Century in the film Lost in Translation and every detail of the car fascinated me. It was a really nice surprise for me to come across Toyota in a place where there are so many German, Italian and British cars.

It was a wonderful experience to visit this place. The car collection in Berlin is not only worth seeing and unique but also provides many opportunities. For example, many cars are available for sale. You can also visit shops and service stations around apart from just walking around. Recommend this place not only for car fans but for families, friends companies and everyone who want to spend the day in a significant way.

If you are into cars, bikes and the odd other bits of machinery (tractors , Porsche), then make time to visit this place. There are specialist workshops, dealers, other things to do with automotive. There's also a vast display of cars on show, mostly there for storage, even some for sale. To many makes and models to list. There's a cafe for when you need to have a wee rest :-)

Had good fun for about an hour. Amazing cars. Good mix of high-end supercars and beautiful classics. The building houses several unique companies. Garages, parts companies, cleaning services.
There were only a few other visitors, I'd say more than half of the people there were staff.

Overall great experience.
