We booked this for the festival of lights and had a great time! Theres a driver and a tour guide, and you drive the tuktuk yourself and follow their lead! We only speak english but the tour guide spoke both German and English and it's sent out through a speaker on your tuktuk. The tour guide was a funny fella... More

As a group of 6 we hired one etuk tuk for a 2 hour sightseeing tour around Berlin. We followed the 2 guides who were excellent and very fun. We made several stops to take photos and walk along he Berlin Wall. There was no time pressure and we were also offered extra advice on where to go and what... More

Last July my colleagues and I took an eTukTuk guided tour. Everyone who has ever been in South-East Asia, India or Sub Saharan Africa knows the adventure that comes along with an ordinary tuktuk taxi ride. This however grows out of the ordinary when you drive an electric tuktuk through the developed streets of Berlin. It's something that strikes your... More

Thanks a lot for your recommendation! We were very happy to read it and that you and your colleagues enjoyed to drive our eTuks yourselves. We hope to see you again next summer! Or if you don't want to wait that long: In winter we offer our tours as well, you will be wrapped in a cosy blanket and we... More

For a wonderful history tour of Berlin, be sure to check out www.etuktuk.com. They just launched this summer, and my family had the pleasure of taking a tour with founder, Adam Rice. Not only was his commentary fascinating and insightful, but he took the time to cater to our energy and interests. But perhaps the best part of eTukTuk is... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
