The Final Solution was decided upon at the Wannsee Conference. Going through the villa, reading about the people and the process you try to understand how "human beings" can be so evil. A must for anyone inerested in the Holocaust..

The present exhibition certainly brings home the evil actions of the Nazis in the Second World War. The exhibition provided me with much information on individuals I had not seen before!

If you want to understand history and how it has been possible to systematically kill millions of people, you need to go to the haus of the Wannsee Conference. Located in an ydillic scenery a little bit outside Berlin, this small palace witnessed the maddest of all decisions taken by human kind. The successive stages are very well explained in... More

Wannsee conference museum is situated in a lovely site on Lake Wannsee, a site which is in stark contract to the horror which the Conference perpetrated: planning the removal 12 million Jews from the world. This is a very informative museum, with actual minutes of the conference displayed, as well as other Holocaust materials. The conference was organized by Heydrich,... More

Wannsee is a beautiful part of Berlin set on a lake and the 'Haus' is right on the foreshore. It's difficult to imagine how these people could assemble in such a beautiful location, and yet, formalise such horrors to be visited upon the Jewish people of Europe. And yet, they did just that. The villa is smaller inside that it... More

This site is just an S-Hahn ride out from mitte to a different world. The site is beautiful and such a contrast to the terrible decision to murder the Jews that was made here. It's free for a donation and very well done. A person could spend hours here reading all the displays. It's well worth the trip out to... More

As practically all German museums this is a well-organised and informative museum. The fact that the fate of some 11-12 million Jewish lives were decided here is hard to fathom; almost half of them died before the Nazis could be stopped. The day I visited was grey and rainy which added to the somber experience.

Be aware this is not a present-day two-flow interactive museum adapted to appeal to day-trippers with a casual history hook-up. The House of Wannsee is an unadulterated memorial and educational site permanently exhibiting the political objectives of the 1942 Wannsee Conference and its horrific diplomatic lineage of The Final solution (Jewish Question). Located inside the actual Nazi high-raking Villa, displayed... More

An eerie place to visit, the place where the industrialised murder of millions was planned, a very chilling place.

I visited this house as part of a school trip to Berlin. We arrived in the morning when it wasn't very busy and we were given a very brief introduction by one of the staff, but even this short speech was incredibly emotional and informative. All of the parts of the house are covered in information, which may be annoying... More
