Ive been to a couple of shows here and all of them were amazingly professional and fun to experience. The last show ive seen was "sister act" , which I highly recommend to everyone, who likes good music and loves to laugh! The venue itself is easy to find and absolutely astonishing from the outside and inside.. My favourite theater... More

I'm sure this theatre isn't as old as it looks in terms of decoration but it is a beautiful, classic looking building inside. Gives you that feeling of decadence. Dress up to make it even more a special experience.

We went for "Tanz der Vampire", knowing nothing at all about the musical. It was above all an incredible show. Wow, just wow. Projection, great sound, a fantastically designed stage, flashy costumes and above all great performers made this an unforgettable night. It has been 20 years since I've been to a big musical, and I was stunned to see... More

Tanz Der Vampire in TdW is a perfect choice to spend evening in Berlin. It's really a great show, good costumes and decorations. The musical is in German, and there's no English translation. But if you've seen the original Roman Polanski's film, it's not a problem. The theater seemed to me quite small, so there's a great view from almost everywhere.

In this amazing beautiful venue I saw Tanz Der Vampire, the cultmusical from Polanski. The theatre is already very old but is so beautiful on the out- and inside. The musical itself was fantastic!

I have seen same musical in Moscow and pleased to state that artists' style as well as decorations look very resembling. Pretty nice place to visit for nice evening mood.

A visit to the theatre is a must when in Berlin. I had the opportunity to see Chicago recently. The play was acted in German but didn't disappoint. The players were first class and the theatre is very plush. Seating and facilities are lovely, nice drinks at interval. Prices are not cheap but worth the money. Worth a visit.

Music, rhythms, actors, plastic - all was just wonderful and unique experience that take you away from every day routines. I have been already once at Chicago musical in Oslo but experience can't be compared. In Theater des Westens everything is put on very professional and good platform. Pure enjoyment! Highly recommend (also visit second floor, balcony). Though there were... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
