The monument is beautiful and minimalistic but that's the charm of it. When you look through the window, you see short movies of kissing homosexual people. It's a really special monument and it's in the tiergarten park, which is also very nice to walk through.

This is near the Memorial to the Murdered Jews in Europe but is in Tiergarten Park across the road. It is a simple sculpture (similar to the block sculpture of the other memorial) but you look through the window to a video that shows a...More

Although the memorial lacks obvious beauty I still thought it was wonderful. I have not seen too many memorials dedicated to gender and sexual diversity. It's beautiful to see.

Impressed that the Germans included the Homosexual community in their memorials. It's in the park next to the Jewish memorial and is made in similar fashion as it's a huge square block with a window that plays a video of two men kissing. Seems to...More

A strange and completely unmarked blockhouse that is hard to find. Germany has put the homosexuals murdered in the holocaust back in the closet. I was offended and confused. I gave it an extra star for at least trying.

So little thought must have gone into this "metal block". There is nothing nearby to explain it, and you can barely see the video that plays due to the light reflection. Since homosexuality was still against German law DECADES after WWII, and homosexuals, as a...More

If you walk from Brandenburg gate past the US Embassy and to the end of the Holocaust memorial, across the street in Tiergarten park is the homosexual Memorial. There are signs from Brandenburg gate. Overall, I didn't watch the entire video as there were quite...More

This memorial is quite unassuming and is not very well signed but it is worth seeking out. There is a small window through which a short film can be viewed.

Great place - combine it with a walk through Tuergarten. Recommend to see it. It's right next to Brandenburg gate and the parliament

The memorial is quietly tucked inside the Tiergarten, just opposite the Jewish memorial. It comprises of a single concrete stele in the same manner as the Jewish memorial. Inside there should be a short film playing, however when we visited this was unfortunately not working....More
