After visiting Europe again this year, I just want to reiterate how special Heidi is. We had two other guides on our recent trip in two other countries. Both good, but not like Heidi. If you are considering a private guide in Berlin, please book her.

Heidi was wonderfully knowledgable about the history of Berlin, was able to communicate in a remarkably compelling and thoughtful way, and was great company as well with a delightful sense of humor.

We saw the reviews on trip advisor and decided to book. Heidi was excellent and the support of daisy her pet dog was fantastic, we got to see lots of things, enjoyed some mulled wine. We learnt a great deal too. Thanks Heidi for a great introduction to Berlin

A wonderful and informative introduction to the amazing city of Berlin by the delightful and knowledgeable Heidi Leyton and her trusty sidekick, Daisy. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Heidi arranged a tour of Berlin during our cruise port day on July 31, 2016. She arranged for a driver to pick us up at Warnemunde. The vehicle was a newer minivan - very spacious and comfortable for our family of 2 adults and 3 teens. We were met in Berlin by our guide, Jad (Heidi was booked that day).... More

We spent 5.5 hours wandering the streets of Berlin with Heidi and her dog, Daisy, and two other couples from California on our first day in Berlin. It was a most enriching and interesting experience. Heidi moved to Berlin from England twelve years ago and has a deep appreciation for the remarkable metamorphosis that has occurred in the past decade.... More

I would highly recommend doing this the first day you arrive if you can schedule it. Heidi came and got us at our hotel with Daisy, who was adorable and well behaved. She took us to many of the highlights of Berlin and was very knowledgable. In addition, she helped acclimate us to the metro so we were able to... More

I was on a Baltic/Scandinavia cruise a couple of weeks ago. One of the ports of call was Warnemünde for Berlin. As time in port was limited to a day and the distance was great, I asked Heidi to arrange for a driver into Berlin and return to port as well as a guide in Berlin. Heidi was super helpful... More

I was in Berlin for about 40 hours, in between business stops. Luckily, I had reached out to Heidi in advance - via email we were able to coordinate plans and she set me up with the perfect guide for my timing, needs and budget. Alison met me in the hotel of my lobby and we were off. As soon... More

Heidi is personable, very knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. She knows Berlin intimately and has the knack of making the places, events and the history come alive. She is simply fun to be with, and her enthusiasm is infectious. We took a tour of Jewish Berlin with her and visited places that we would never have seen otherwise and learned a great deal... More

Neighbourhood Profile
No Berlin neighbourhood is more popular with the young and jet-set crowd than the old worker's district of Neukölln. With so many Turkish settled here, the area became known as “Little Istanbul“. Today the percentage of foreigners is still high and visitors still frequent the Turkish shisha bars. In the daytime, they also visit the designer shops and sit by the canal in one of the street cafés up and down Westerstrasse or at Maybachufer, having a beer and waving to the sightseeing boats as they float by. But at night, Neukölln is dominated by increasingly young, alternative, and international crowds. This is particularly evident in the northern section of the district where there are many bars, funky clubs, galleries and restaurants. There, the night never seems to end.
