Dreigroschen Oper (Brecht/Weill) in Berliner Ensemble theatre was a wonderful experience, the text and music are superb, of course, but the performance was also splendid. The audience was enthusiastic. No wonder this has been in program since 2007! The building is interesting also, but surely...More

We saw "die Stühle" by Ionesco in the rehearsal room of the Berliner Ensemble. The cast was excellent and the direction was clever and subtle. It was a great experience.

Today was my first time at Berliner Ensemble but not the last. I was going to see Faust but when I arrived had the play already started. A lovely lady gave me a free ticket and said I could get in by the backdoor. The...More

We went to see Faust yesterday and any theater lover should see even not knowing German. Download the play from the Internet for free, read before hand and run to see the play. It is once in a lifetime performance. The stage, the music, the...More

Unapologetically political, critical and ceaselessly inventive, Brecht managed to alienate many of his German...More

My dear friend, Anna, introduced me to this place as there was a performance of Hamlet in this very theatre. As soon as I entered its doors, I was amazed at how marvellous the interior was, especially when I went inside the theatre. Going into...More

Innovative regi and dynamic professionalism. A real top performance at one of the worlds top theatres. The Berliner Ensemble very seldom lets You Down, but this was high point. The perfomance was so forceful that much of the conservative segment of the Public left in...More

I was on the "Shakespeares Sonette". I've never been such amazed by any play! Theathre's staff were absolutely kind and helpful. People who came there for a play were also very nice, talkative and charming. I totally recommend this place because I truly loved it!

The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights
like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum

of some significant transformations, as well. The
