After queuing for 1h and dealing with the rudest bouncers in the history of clubs, they infact shout at you and push you, we arrived at the till and a super arrogant guy turned us away with no reason. Do a favour to yourself: don't go or you will hate that city

Had heard that this was one of Berlin's best clubs and it was the 15th anniversary night so was really looking forward to going. Queued up for three and a half hours in the freezing cold. (I can not explain how torturous this was. By the time we got to the door we were frozen, sober, and ready to die.)... More

Beautiful visual effects and design. The location which is next to the river is amazing! The sound system was brilliant on the main floor but I can't say the same for the water floor. The place is small and the people too many. The music was not as underground as I expected.

The decor is cool and i liked the layout ..the sound was ok but not amazing...very packed and way too hot.the crowd weren't super friendly but there was enough of us that we had our own fun.there was only 5 toilets for the... After walking around Berlin to try and find a nice bar, we came across this place. My 4 friends and I met these 11 girls who were also English who were in the queue in front of us. The girls went straight into the venue but two of friends didn't even get passed the security as 'they were on their... More

Went here on a Saturday night after being at Tresor the night before. Went with my boyfriend and we were both incredibly excited to experience the club as we had heard good things (especially the beautiful surroundings, which I cannot lie were amazing). We were let in without much questioning at all which was a bit of a surprise to... More

Saw Paul Kalkbrenner here last Thursday, was pretty special. Really nice club, probably not the best sound system I've heard but I'd definitely recommend it.

We went on a saturday night and there was no que at all when we walked up at about 2am. There was another heavy metal club down the road which had a longer que?? Maybe we got lucky. The view is great and the light display inside is very cool. The club doesn't take card so we have to leave... More

If you like clubbing then you should definitely go to Watergate. Very nice place and very good music. I have been there three times and every time it was great. The best DJs.

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
