I sits a little settled into the ground, rebuilt and polished on the outside and inside freshly scrubbed and truly aesthetically pleasing. A delightful space and full of history. Easy to walk past on the busy street but it is definitely worth that time to...More

This is a lovely church, that should've got a lot more attention, but its proximity to the gigantic TV tower dwarfs it immensely.

This church or" Marienkirche" in German is right in the central hub of Berlin and easy access from Alexanderplatz. Once the area surrounding the church was all buildings, but it was was cleared after the bombing damage of WW2. The square opposite the church has...More

Went in out of curiosity but loved it right away. A very elegant monument with a warm feeling inside. Also, you can find many interesting souvenirs inside, at the shop. It’s very very close to Alexanderplatz, so if you’re in the area, do go in....More

We stopped to see another church but saw this one nearby and so glad we went in. Lovely building, still an active congregation.

Old bricks and a storied past. The steeple vies for attention with the TV tower. When you stand in the courtyard or just outside it, you are standing on a graveyard that was paved over when City graveyards were banned.

The church is nice. The style is gothic but simpler than I thought seeing it from outside. The admission is completely free. Reaching it is very easy as it is located right next to AlexanderPlatz.

Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights
like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum
Island. The central location makes this one of the
city's most expensive places to live. It is here the
oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence
of some significant transformations, as well. The
gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets
between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given
