A very good collection of 19th and 20th century art. Some real gems in here. Pissaro, Renoir, Van Gogh and Picasso. An excellent exhibition of Franz Radziwell's work.

We went specifically to see this exhibition and it certainly did not disappoint. It is well worth taking the audio guide as you learn a lot more although the little handbook they give you is quite comprehensive. The exhibition takes around 2 hours max and...More

I spent the better part of an afternoon in the Kunsthalle. It is a very nice art gallery. I was very pleased with the permanent collection. The contemporary display wasn't quite to my taste, but these change out, so I won't hold it against the...More

Very nice collection of many types / periods of art. Well presented in a good building. Only real drawback is the lack of English descriptions for the works.

The Kunsthalle is well worth a visit both for its permanent and temporary exhibitions. Make sure not to miss the light installation by Olafur Eliasson on the top floor. The building is interesting on its own merits, too: the modern extension is extremely nicely done....More

Kunsthalle Bremen is housed in a neo classical building and has both temporary exhibitions and a permanent collection. the French and German impressionist paintings are my favorites. the museum is about two minutes walk to the east of the old town border.

We read about the museum in our guide book and it sounded great. But we we thrilled to find it was even better in the flesh. Lots of amazing paintings from across the centuries, in galleries that were well designed and interesting. In February we...More
