We were keen to see the observatory while visiting Potsdam, so took the 20 minute walk in the rain up the hill from the station. It is in the middle of a science park and they just allow you in to wander up to the tower. Unfortunately for us, we were not aware that the tower is closed and there... More

The Einstein town, designed by the famous Bauhaus architect Eric Mendelssohn, is definitely worth a visit if you are in Potsdam. It is situated in a science park which dates back to the beginning of German ascendancy and then domination in many branches of scientific research, before the Nazi period ended it.
